Background: Betty Ellis is a retired school teacher with an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University. Betty taught fifth grade reading, English Language Arts and science for ten years and seventh grade science for six years. She left the classroom to work as a Science Implementation Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education for six years. She retired after serving as a Curriculum Director for two years. She quickly discovered that retirement left a void in her life. So, she returned to work as an educational consultant and a School Improvement Specialist. She also taught 5th-12th grade students in Sunday school, and directed Vacation Bible School.
